"Stripper" by the Soho Dolls. We also did a fairly elaborate number to Rihanna's "Push Up On Me," but I don't know that that footage has been used in the show.

In recent news, claims have been made that Prince Charles was shocked to find that burlesque dancer Dita Von Teese actually strips (this story actually isn't true); that Representative Pete Sessions was was surprised to learn that the burlesque dancers at Forty Deuce take off their clothes (although this party did happen, I suspect he was not truly all that surprised); and that pole dancing is synonymous with burlesque . Whatever you make of all this, it's interesting that the idea of burlesque without stripping is so available in popular culture that people are suggesting that it could be surprising that burlesque performers are stripping. This morning I posted a request on Instagram and Facebook for links to sites where people can buy ready-to-ship burlesque costumes and pasties, in an effort to help students quickly acquire costume pieces. Since there isn't really a "burlesque store," most of the people who responded are, as one might expect, individual creators who also make custom items. The folks I've listed in this post were all recommended! If you're a maker or have a recommendation, you can comment with your own or others' links using the guidelines at the end of this article.
